Dear Year 4 families
This Advent season we are thinking of others before ourselves and giving to people who don’t have what we might take for granted. In the last newsletter you would have read about the St Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Each homegroup has been given a family to support and provide for and a basket to collect our donations for our families. To help you know what you might contribute, we thought we’d tell you a little bit about the families we are collecting for.
Penguins
Our family has one female adult, two girls aged 4 and 10, and four boys aged 7 and 8.
Seals
Our family has three female adults, one girl aged 5 and four boys aged 7, 9, 13, 13.
Turtles
Our family has one female adult, one male adult, two girls aged 1 and 11, and five boys aged 14, 13, 12, 9, 7.
What can we bring?
We want to try and ensure each basket represents each family member. We can buy foods such as pasta, pasta sauce, drinks, biscuits, long life milk, cereal, chips and foods that we may have for Christmas lunch or dinner.
Any food that is brought can’t be from the fridge and must not be used by its date.
We can also buy items such as toys or toiletries to match the family members. Everything that goes into the baskets must be new and not used, such as old toys and clothes.
Thank you in advance, from the Year 4 team
