Good evening Garlic and Ginger,
As you know, we are learning to play the ukulele in Performing Arts.
We have many eager dreamers who would love to become leaders. Yes it rhymes 🙂 Many of you have asked me to put up information about where to buy a good quality ukulele, if you practise you’ll be playing songs before you know it!
Check out the links below if you’re interested in buying your own ukulele. This is also what we use in class. Here are my recommendations:
Colour ukulele: browse for your colour choice

Ukulele Tuner:

Ukulele Strap: browse for your colour choice

Good luck with your search and ask me any questions when you see me.

Hi Jess!
Thanks for the Awesome Ukulele information! This really helped me And I’m thinking of buying one! 😀😀
I have two questions – My first question is that, do you need the Tuner to Tune it or not? My second question is would you reccomand buying a bag for the Ukulele? Could you please put the link on the blog of the bag?
Thanks, From Cassy 😊

Good afternoon Cassy,
What wonderful questions, I’m very excited to hear that you are really enjoying learning the ukulele.
Q1 – Yes, if you want to play the ukulele, just like any instrument, it requires regular tuning.
A ukulele tuner like we use at school is the easiest choice. But you can also use your ears as your guide and find a website to help tune your ukulele. Here is a website you can checkout https://ukutuner.com/ .
But i would recommend buying a tuner, that way it’s yours and you can also bring it to school.
Q2 – If you buy the ukulele I recommended, it comes with a bag.
Hope that all helps 🙂
