NAPLAN preparation

Our Middle school students have challenged themselves this past week, especially our Year 3 students as they prepare for NAPLAN. We have quizzed ourselves and each other about a range of topics related to Numeracy, Reading, Language Coventions and Writing. Our Year 4 students have offered some helpful tips to help the Year 3s as they prepare for the first assessment tomorrow (Tuesday 9th of May) such as:

– shade one bubble carefully for each question

– find the key words to help you understand what the question is asking

– reread the question and check your answers

– use scrap paper to help you work out your answer

… and most important of all- do your best!

We know that the Year 3 students will show all of SMCM this week how clever they are!

Like to wish all the children who are doing their Naplan well. Just try your best we can’t ask for nothing else. Good luck and do yourselves proud.
