3D Objects

Middle school students were kept busy this week during Maths sessions.  Using only  matchsticks and blu tak  students created 3D objects.

  • What 3D object did you make?
  • What were the properties of your 3D object?
  • Where in the environment is your 3D object found?

It was difficult to make a 3D object with match sticks but it looked pretty good at the end!

It was fun learning about 3D objects because we got to learn all different types of shapes.

Michael created a octahedron. It has 6 vertices,8 faces and 12 edges.

Hi Sandra, I really liked creating my 3D object. I made a triangular prism with 2 supports. Thomas.

Hi Thomas. The supports were such a great idea.
